Position Summary:

EYA, an award winning residential builder/developer, is seeking an Architecture Intern in Bethesda, MD.  This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on Architecture experience working for an owner/builder with a proven history, exceptional reputation, and great work environment.  

In this position, you will assist with daily operations and administrative functions of the Architecture studio which is responsible for all phases of architectural design—from preliminary planning through the design development, working drawing and construction phases.

The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, quality conscious and a team player who believes there is no task too small, or big.

  • Provide general administrative support to the architecture team.
  • Participate in architecture studio meetings and design review.
  • Create and modify architectural and land planning documents and renderings as directed by VP of Planning and Design.
  • Review drawings while following EYA standards and procedures to ensure drawings are completed with quality and are consistent with the most current drafting practices.
  • Support preconstruction services and efforts.


  • In pursuit of a degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Interior Design or related field. Rising senior or graduate student preferred.
  • Exceptional administrative and coordination skills such as scheduling, preparing electronic documents, electronic filing, organizing department documents, etc.
  • Tech-savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Photoshop preferred.
  • Strong oral, written and visual/graphic communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
